The “Banque de Tunisie” (BT) has announced that it posted a net profit up 21.8% in the first half of the year compared to the same period of the previous year.
According to the interim financial statements of the bank as of June 30, the net profit of the BT amounted to 68.1 million dinars against 55.9 million at the end of June 2017.
This performance results from the growth of the period’s NBI from 128 million dinars to 152.7 million, up 19.2%.
Total operating income stood at 253.9 million dinars at the end of June, up 25.8%, while operating expenses grew from 73.5 million dinars to 101.2 million dinars between June 2017 and June 2018, up 37.7%.
In addition, personnel costs in the first half reached 35.5 million dinars against 32.4 million a year earlier.
