Dubai – Mubasher: The UAE Ministry of Infrastructure Development has allocated AED 6 billion ($1.63 billion) for infrastructure projects in 2017.
The projects which are being implemented this year include a number of roads, in addition to schools and hospitals, the UAE minister of infrastructure development Abdullah Belhaif Al-Nuaimi said on the sidelines of the Middle East Rail 2017 conference on Monday.
Roads and housing projects will be given a priority, Al-Nuaimi added.
The country invested AED 10 billion ($2.7 billion) in the past five years to upgrade the infrastructure.
