UAE stock markets close Wednesday with varied performance

UAE - Mubasher: The UAE stock markets ended Wednesday’s trading session on a mixed note, with the benchmark index of the Dubai Financial Market (DFM) down by 29.77 points (0.88%) to 3,343.27 points.

The turnover amounted to AED 260.53 million after 79.03 million shares were traded during the session.

Al Salam Bank – Sudan advanced the gainers with 6.54%, whereas Dubai Refreshments headed the decliners with 3.50%.

Emaar Properties was the most active stock in terms of the trading volume and value with 17.05 million shares traded at AED 101.49 million.

Meanwhile, the main index of the Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange (ADX) levelled up by 0.448% and closed the session at 9,739.91 points.

The trading value reached AED 1.29 billion through the exchange of 228.28 million shares, while the market cap value stood at AED 2.21 trillion.

Hayah Insurance Company was the top riser with 14.68%, whereas Hily Holding led the losers with 6.25%.

International Holding Company (IHC) generated the highest turnover of AED 286 million, while Abu Dhabi National Energy Company (TAQA) was the most active stock on which 41.24 million shares were exchanged.
