Cairo – Mubasher: Mars Egypt, the chocolate producer plans to inaugurate two production lines by the end of coming February in Egypt with a capital of EGP 750 million, said Egypt’s Minister of Trade and Industry, Tarek Kabil.
The lines will provide 1,600 direct and indirect job opportunities, also they will contribute to increasing exports for foreign markets by $100 billion annually, Kabil added.
After the expansions, Mars Egypt’s investments will reach EGP 2 billion, which will provide 10,000 direct and indirect job opportunities.
Kabil noted that the company’s annual sales in Egyptian market amounted to EGP 42 billion, while its exports reached $42 million as 65% of production is allocated for exporting.
