Cairo – Mubasher: The total value of the US inflows in Egypt amounted to $21.8 billion by the end of December 2018, minister of investment and international cooperation Sahar Nasr said.
Some of the American firms injected around $1 billion investments in Egypt in fiscal year 2017/2018, Nasr added according to a statement on Monday.
Nasr further explained that it discussed with the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) the possible collaboration between the two countries, especially in the field of infrastructure development in the African region.
The two sides discussed supporting investments in drinking water, sanitation, establishing new roads to linking cities, residential housing, healthcare, and education industries.
It is noteworthy that the US allocated nearly $600 million aids to Egypt, since 2014 until the current period, to finance various sectors, including high and primary education, agriculture, tourism, and antiquities.
