Doha – Mubasher: Widam Foods Co posted an increase of 16% in its profits for the first quarter of 2017, compared to the first quarter in 2016.
Profits amounted to QAR 22.95 million ($6.3 million) in Q1-17, compared to QAR 19.78 million ($5.43 million) in Q1-16, according to a filing to the Qatar Stock Exchange (QSE).
Earnings per share (EPS) reached QAR 1.28 in Q1-17, compared to QAR 1.1 in the same quarter of 2016, the statement showed.
The company had previously reported a growth of 32% in its profits reaching QAR 91.3 million in 2016, compared to QAR 69.1 million in 2015.
