Yamama Cement records SAR 132.5m profits in H1-21

Riyadh – Mubasher: Yamama Cement Company achieved net profits after Zakat and tax of SAR 132.55 million during the first half (H1) of 2021, down 24% from SAR 174.8 million in H1-20.

Earnings per share stood at SAR 0.65 in H1-21, compared to SAR 0.86 in H1-20, according to a bourse filing on Thursday.

Sales shrank by 16% to SAR 382.83 million in the January-June 2021 period from SAR 457.14 million in the same six months last year.

During the second quarter (Q2) that ended in April, the cement company registered net profits worth SAR 77.68 million, higher by nearly 53% than SAR 50.83 million in Q2-20.

Revenues increased by 21% to SAR 202.57 million in Q2-21 from SAR 167.12 million in Q2-20.

On a quarterly basis, the net profits in Q2-21 surged by 41.5% from SAR 54.87 million in Q1-21. The sales also rose by 12.38% from SAR 180.25 million.
