Riyadh – Mubasher: flynas recorded a historic increase of more than 28% year-on-year (YoY) in the number of passengers to over 11.10 million passengers during 2023, according to a press release.
The Saudi low-cost national carrier (LCC) took delivery of 19 new aircraft last year, enlarging fleet size to 64 aircraft, which marked a surge of more than 35% when compared to 2022.
During January-December 2023, flynas launched 57 new destinations and routes to 10 countries.
The air carrier also inaugurated its fourth operations base at Prince Mohammed bin Abdulaziz International Airport in Madinah and widened seat capacity by 22% for domestic as well as international flights.

In line with the objectives of the Pilgrims Experience Program (PEP) to facilitate access to the Two Holy Mosques and the National Civil Aviation Strategy, flynas aims to contribute to connecting the Kingdom with 250 International destinations, accommodating 330 million passengers, and hosting 100 million tourists on an annual basis by 2030.
"We have succeeded in doubling the size of our fleet by more than 100% in less than two years. We also signed an agreement with Airbus to purchase 30 new A320neo aircraft as part of a 120-aircraft order with a value exceeding SAR 32 billion and a plan to increase the order to 250 aircraft,” Almohanna underlined.
