Mr Craig McKenzie Mr. McKenzie currently serves as the President and Chief Executive Officer of Toreador since March 2009 and served as Toreador’s interim President and Chief Executive Officer and a director beginning in January 2009. From October 2007 to December 2008, he was the Chief Executive Officer and Director of Canadian Superior Energy, Inc., a Canadian oil and gas exploration and production company. From May 2004 to September 2007, he was the President of BG Trinidad & Tobago of BG Group plc, an integrated natural gas company. He was a member of the Atlantic LNG stockholders’ board from September 2004 to September 2007. From 1986 to May 2004, he was at BP plc (Amoco Corporation prior to the merger) where he held various senior level positions, including unit leader of North Sea Projects and Exploration, Executive Assistant in the office of the Group Chief Executive Officer and Negotiator within the Mergers and Acquisitions Group. He holds a BS degree in Petroleum Engineering from Louisiana State University and a Masters in Management from the Kellogg School of Management, Northwestern University. Mr. McKenzie’s industry experience includes working in over 20 countries in both operations and commercial positions. Mr. McKenzie was the Chief Executive Officer of Canadian Superior Energy, Inc. from October 2007 to December 2008. On May 1, 2012, board of directors has appointed Craig McKenzie, President and Chief Executive Officer of the Company, as the acting Chairman of the Board.
Mr Victor Wells Mr Victor Wells is a director of, and is Chair of the Audit Committee of GT Canada Medical Properties Inc. He was formerly a director of and chair of the audit committee of MagIndustries Inc. (2006 – 2011) and Northstar Healthcare Inc. (2007 – 2010). He was also formerly a director of and member of the Audit Committee of TriNorth Capital Inc., a TSX-V listed company, from 2009 to 2010, and a Trustee of Canada Cartage Diversified Income Fund and chaired its Audit Committee. Mr. Wells was Vice President, Finance and CFO of Chemtrade Logistics Income Fund from its initial public offering in July 2001 until 2006. From 1998 to 2001 Mr. Wells was Vice President, Finance and CFO of Tahera Diamond Corporation, a diamond mining company listed on the TSX. While Mr. Wells was a director, TriNorth Capital Inc. was subject to a management cease trade order as a result of not filing its financial statements and MD&A for the periods ending December 31, 2009 and March 31, 2010 within the required time frames. Such financial statements and MD&A were subsequently filed and the management cease trade order is no longer in effect. Mr. Wells resigned from the Board of TriNorth on June 30, 2010. Mr. Wells is a member of Financial Executives International, a past Chapter President and Director. Mr. Wells is Chairman of the Canadian Financial Executives Research Foundation and was formerly the Chairman of the Committee on Corporate Reporting and was a member of the Accounting Standards Board from 1991 to 1995. Mr. Wells obtained his Chartered Accountant designation with Ernst and Young in Toronto, and was elected a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of British Columbia in 1990 and a Fellow of the Ontario Institute of Chartered Accountants in 2006. Mr. Wells obtained his Institute of Corporate Directors designation in 2007.
Mr David Lawrence Mr. David Lawrence was Head of Research & Development at Syngenta from September 1, 2002 until the end of September, 2008. Prior to this role, David Lawrence was Head Research & Technology Projects (2000–2002) for Syngenta. Prior to this, he was Head International R&D Projects for Zeneca Agrochemicals, having previously held several senior scientific roles. He was a member of the UK Foresight Lead Expert Group on Food and Farming. Currently he is a member of the BBSRC Council and of the UK Industrial Biotechnology Leadership Team. He is also a Board member for Rothamsted Research, Plastid AS and the UK Biosciences Knowledge Transfer Network for which he chairs the Industrial Biotechnology Group. David Lawrence graduated in chemistry from Oxford University with an MA and DPhil in chemical pharmacology.
