Mr Michael A. Cirami
| Mr. Michael A. Cirami is a Manager of Eaton Vance Global Macro Absolute Return Fund - Class R. He is a vice president of Eaton Vance Management, co-director of global income and portfolio manager on Eaton Vance’s global income team, focusing on emerging Europe, the Middle East and Africa. He is responsible for buy and sell decisions, portfolio construction and risk management for the firm’s global income strategies. He joined Eaton Vance in 2003. He began his career in the investment management industry in 1998. Before joining Eaton Vance, he was employed at State Street Bank in Boston, Luxemburg and Munich, and with BT&T Asset Management in Zurich. He joined Loomis Sayles in September 2013 from HSBC Global Asset Management, where he was Chief Business Strategist, Senior Portfolio Manager, Head of Emerging Markets Debt and Currencies. He was also chief investment strategist, President, Founding Partner, and Senior Portfolio Manager for The Atlantic Funds, LLC, which was acquired by HSBC in 2005. Previously, he was president of emerging markets subsidiaries at Dresdner Kleinwort. He was President, Founding Partner, and Senior Portfolio Manager at Wasserstein Perella Emerging Markets, LP between June 1993 and June 1999. He was a Director at Swiss Bank Corporation (NKA UBS) from June 1987 to June 1993. Mr. Peter has been a faculty member at Columbia University since 1993, and Harvard University since January 2014. He has edited and authored five books on emerging markets and globalization, and is a board member of the New American Foundation, World Policy Institute, and the Emerging Markets Trade Association.
