Ms Cynthia Walker Ms. Walker serves as Deputy Dean for Finance & Administration at the Yale University School of Medicine. Mr Peter Smail Mr. Smail was a financial services senior executive with Fidelity Investments through June 2008. He enjoyed a 20-year career launching and building businesses for Fidelity Investments, including its stand-alone institutional investment management arm and 401(k) business. He joined Fidelity Institutional Retirement Services Company in 1987, and became its president in 1996. Five years later he was selected as president of Fidelity's total employee benefits outsourcing business, and in 2005 was chosen as president and CEO to launch and lead Pyramis Global Advisors, a new Fidelity investment management subsidiary serving institutional investors. Prior to 1987, Mr. Smail held executive positions at BayBanks and New England Mutual Life Insurance Company. He is currently retired and serving as the trustee of the Employee Benefit Research Institute. He also served on the board of directors of Fidelity Management Trust Company, Fidelity Investments-Canada and Pyramis Global Advisors. Mr. Smail earned a BS, with honors, in business management from Northeastern University.
Mr Erik Sirri Mr. Erik Sirri is a professor of finance at Babson College. His research interests include the interaction of securities law and finance, securities market structure, and investment management. He was the director of the Division of Trading and Markets at the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission from 2006 to 2009, where he was responsible for matters relating to the regulation of stock and option exchanges, national securities associations, brokers, dealers, clearing agencies, transfer agents, and credit rating agencies. He also served as the SEC’s chief economist from 1996 to 1999 and was an assistant professor of finance at the Harvard Business School from 1989 to 1995. He has consulted for securities firms, stock exchanges, mutual fund companies, issuers and information vendors on a variety of regulatory and business matters. Mr Marty Meehan Mr. Marty Meehan is the second chancellor of the University of Massachusetts Lowell and the 14th leader of the institution, which was founded in the 1890’s. He also is a faculty member of the University’s political science department. Since Mr. Meehan assumed the chancellorship in 2007, his inclusive leadership style has helped transform UMass Lowell from a university that was in danger of fiscal failure to one that has achieved new success by every important measure of higher education. Specifically, Mr. Meehan has propelled the University forward in academics, research, fundraising, globalization, recruitment, retention, diversity, campus life, engagement with the community, and the condition and range of facilities. Prior to serving as Chancellor of UMass Lowell, Mr. Meehan represented the 5th Congressional District of Massachusetts in the U.S. House of Representatives from 1993 to 2007, where he was a member of the House Armed Services and Judiciary committees. He was the First Assistant District Attorney of Middlesex County and the Massachusetts Deputy Secretary of State for Securities and Corporations. Also, in the early 1980’s, Mr. Meehan was an adjunct faculty member in political science at UMass Lowell. Mr. Meehan is on the board of directors at Lowell Cooperative Bank and Lowell General Hospital. Previously, he served on the board of directors of Qteros (formerly SunEthanol) and D’Youville Foundation and was a member of the board of trustees of Suffolk University. He is the author of many publications and the recipient of numerous awards. Mr. Meehan holds a Bachelor of Science, cum laude in secondary education and political science from the University of Massachusetts Lowell, a Master of Public Administration from Suffolk University and a Juris Doctorate from Suffolk University Law School. He holds honorary degrees from Suffolk University, Green Mountain College in Vermont and Shenkar College of Engineering & Design in Israel.
Mr John Hailer Mr. John Hailer, who heads up Natixis Global Asset Management in The Americas and Asia, is a trustee for the Natixis Funds. Mr. Hailer started his career with the firm in 1998 as executive vice president and managing director. Prior to joining the firm, Mr. Hailer was with Fidelity Investments Institutional Services Company (FIIS), most recently as senior vice president – international, responsible for new business development in North America and Latin America. Before joining Fidelity, he was senior vice president and director of retail business development for Putnam Investments. Mr. Hailer is chairman of the board of directors for the Home for Little Wanderers, which was founded in 1799 and is the oldest continuous children's charity in the United States. Mr David Giunta David L. Giunta is President and Chief Executive Officer of Natixis Global Asset Management – U.S. Distribution. He reports to John Hailer, the President and Chief Executive Officer of Natixis Global Asset Management – The Americas & Asia. Mr. Giunta joined the firm in January 2008. He previously worked at Fidelity Investments for 14 years, where he was president of Fidelity Charitable Gift Fund, a donor-advised fund and one of the largest public charities in the United States. Mr. Giunta also headed Fidelity Charitable Services, a leading provider of administrative and other services to charitable organizations such as private foundations and donor advised funds, including the Fidelity Charitable Gift Fund. Mr. Giunta joined Fidelity in 1994 as vice president for the Fidelity Personal Investments and Brokerage Group. Later he served as senior vice president in charge of Fidelity’s Eastern Region Investor Centers, director of Fidelity’s Private Wealth Management Products & Services Group and senior vice president of the Fidelity Managed Money Group for Personal Investments. Prior to joining Fidelity, Mr. Giunta served as an analyst at BankBoston and was assistant vice president of new product development for Putnam Investments. Mr. Giunta received a Bachelor of Science degree in accounting from Bentley College in 1987 and an MBA from Boston College in 1991. He also is a CPA.
Mr Kenneth Drucker Mr. Kenneth Drucker retired at year-end 2006 as vice president and treasurer of Sequa Corporation, a multinational industrial. He continued his affiliation with Sequa in 2007 as a consultant for various financial-related services and projects. Prior to joining Sequa in 1987, Mr. Drucker was senior vice president and treasurer of JWT Group, Inc. Prior to that, he was with Stauffer Chemical Company for 12 years, where he held the title of treasurer as well as various other positions in the Treasury department. He was also with CIGNA Corporation and Price Waterhouse & Co. Mr. Drucker is a Certified Public Accountant and a member of the American Institute of CPAs and the Connecticut Society of CPAs. He received his BS in accounting from Long Island University in 1967 and has served in the U.S. Marine Corps Reserve. From 1983 to February 2008, Mr. Drucker served on the Board of Trustees as lead independent trustee and chairman of the Audit Committee of Gateway Fund. From 2004 to 2007, he served on the Board of Directors and as chairman of the Audit Committee of Formica Corporation.
Mr Robert Blanding Mr. Blanding is chairman of the board, CEO and President for Loomis, Sayles & Company, L.P. He is also a director of Natixis Asset Management Japan Co., Ltd. and serves on the Board of Trustees for the Loomis Sayles Funds. Mr. Blanding started his career in the investment sector in 1971 and joined Loomis Sayles in 1977. At the start of his career with Loomis Sayles, Mr. Blanding served as a portfolio manager from 1977 through 1991. During this tenure, he was named a managing partner in 1989 and a director in 1990.
